I thought you might like to hear that the Fowlers are ok! We are frozen into our house and frozen into our neighborhood, but we are warm and happy! The door wouldn't open this morning, it was sealed shut with an inch of ice, but we were able to crack through it and let the dog out. There was a lull in the action this afternoon so the kids wandered out and started to chizzle away at the lawn with golf clubs and a shovel. The storm started again this evening and it sounds like someone is throwing small rocks against the windows. What an adventure! Jeff and I are working from home on our laptops, the kids are out of school for the forseeable future, the mailmain can't delivier mail because the mailboxes are sealed shut and would need an army tank to get through anyway and they are restricting traffic to emergency vehicles only. (If you should even attempt a "milk" run, you will be ticketed.) Not that it would even matter if you made it to the store, the bread and milk are completely gone. Food storage...it's not just for Mormons anymore!

Wow. I wonder how we'd do if we were stuck inside for a few days... We'd have to get creative. I hope you have chocolate chips so you can make cookies. This post makes me want to go to Costco & stock up on TP! :)
Emily's post mentioned toilet paper... Earlier tonight Hannah informed me that she intends to visit a toilet paper factory someday. Really? Where does she come up with these ideas? We were able to find a youtube video about the making of "bath tissue" (its formal name) which she thoroughly enjoyed. Who needs Netflix when you can access "the making of bath tissue" vidoes online? My apologies for the randomness of this comment.
