Shades State Park

Last Friday the Fowlers went camping. We had never been camping as a family before...in fact the last time I spent any time in a tent was exactly 12 years ago. We had a great time! Landon was prepared with all of his camping equipment from Grandpa and their camping trip up Ferron Mountain. He helped keep our campfire going and totally made the other campers jealous with his head lamp...especially the night vision! Haylie continues to amaze me with her bravery and sense of adventure. I thought for sure that during the night she would discover how the sounds of the forest can be a little creepy, ok TOTALLY scary, but she was definitely braver than I was and was not ever scared or nervous.

We had a sting operation unfold before our eyes at the campsite next to ours. It was pretty cool to see the officers dressed in black from head to toe ambush the camp of college kids, obviously drunk and very loud. They were shut down and the night continued very peacefully.

Indiana camping is a little different that Utah camping, you have neighbors, but we had a great time and can't wait to go again next month!

Enjoy the photos! The turned out really blurry, but they look ok from from a distance.

It sounds and looks like a very beautiful and memorable trip. Thanks for the pictures and exciting narration. Not all good guys wear white.
Take care everyone.
